Born from Luxembourg heritage and carried forward through five generations in Iowa, Kalmes Foods brings a family restaurant tradition to kitchens and grills everywhere.

Our family story took root in St. Donatus, Iowa, where Kalmes Restaurant was founded in 1956. Across generations, the Kalmes family built its reputation by serving real people from a working restaurant and catering kitchen. The recipes had to do more than sound good. They had to deliver dependable flavor, meal after meal.

That restaurant-tested standard lives on in Kalmes Famous Steak Seasoning & Tenderizer. It combines bold seasoning with a built-in tenderizer in one easy step. Our breading mixes and family products carry the same practical promise: honest flavor shaped by generations of hands-on food experience.
